Supererogatory Excrescencies

"There's something about getting grimy and sweaty with the gals. You feel like you're breaking the rules. You're not made of sugar and spice and everything nice. You're not someone's girlfriend and you're not someone's mother. For that moment, at least, all you have to be is a cyclist." --K. Grob

Rocket just completed the 2010 Bicycle Tour of Colorado, traversing the Continental Divide four times in 470 miles! Her next conquest-Tour de Wyoming 2010. Willpower and endurance are her super-strengths.

The Daughter-in-Law (cycling moniker forthcoming), new to road biking, will easily accomplish putting on 1000 miles by summer's end. She has been training with Rocket...OMG, two of them in the family!

Sons, saddle up...we've got a train to catch!

From the Ashes...Life's Lessons

"To travel by bicycle is a humble, non-aggressive way to get close to people. It is a way of saying we are passing through with no thought of invasion or conquest, only the simple will to share a part of the road.”—Claude Herve

Nearly a year has passed…my last entry ended as abruptly as it once again begins.  Cycling is a ubiquitous emotion.
